1. Scope

This specification is applied to VCTF 23NXXS is heat resistant insulated polyvinyl chloride, oil and heat resistant polyvinyl chloride sheathed flexible cords with braided shield. 

2. Type, conductor size, adaptation standard, rating

Type, conductor size, adaptation standard and rating are Table 1.

3. Materials, Construction and Manufacturing methods


3.1 Conductor
The conductor shall be a stranded wire composed of annealed copper wires specified in JIS C 3102

3.2 Insulation
The conductor shall be covered with heat resistant polyvinyl chloride, as insulation, concentrically in thickness shown in Attached Table 1.
Average thickness of the insulation shall not be less than 90% of value in Attached Tables.
Minimum thickness of the insulation shall not be less than 80% of value in Attached Tables.

3.3 Identification of cores
(1)12 or less conductors
The identification of cores shall be made by coloring of the insulation.
Insulation coloring
Black, White, Red, Green, Yellow, Brown, Blue, Gray, Orange, Purple, Pink, Light green.

(2)13 or more conductors
Insulation is colored white and printed in Arabic numerals by blue ink.

Marking of 1,2,3,4,5, ·········

3.4 Assembly of cores
The fillers are inserted to the gap of the core, to make it a circular form, if it is necessary. When number of the core is equal to or greater than 5, the cores are rolled up by the tape.

3.5 Shield
The shields shall be braid of tin coated annealed copper wires specified in JIS C 3152.

3.6 Sheath
Assembled cores shall be covered with oil and heat resistant polyvinyl chloride (black), concentrically in thickness shown in Attached Table 1.
Average thickness of the sheath shall not be less than 90% of value in Attached Tables.
Minimum thickness of the sheath shall not be less than 70% of value in Attached Tables.

This specification is applied to VCTF 23NXXS is heat resistant insulated polyvinyl chloride, oil and heat resistant polyvinyl chloride sheathed flexible cords with braided shield.

3.1 Conductor
