Instructions for Cable Wiring by Hanger Suspension

Precautions to be taken in cable wiring by hanger suspension

Cable coil diameter

The cable should be coiled so that its coil outside diameter (as indicated b“y Coil outside diameter” in the figure) is 20times its outside diameter or more.

Cable coiling direction

The cable should be coiled in th“e clockwise” direction.

Cable twist

The cable should be coiled using the printed marking on its sheath surface as a guide for the coiling to prevent it from being twisted.

Hanger-to-hanger distance

The coiled cable should be suspended using hangers with a chain fastened to the hangers to prevent them from being spaced apart more than the specified cable coil diameter as illustrated in the figure.( In cold region, the hanger suspension of the coiled cable should be made with the hangers spaced a distance apart that is equivalent to the specified cable coil outside diameter.)

Cable’s hanger mounting portion protection

The cable’s hanger mounting portion should be protected using sheath scrap or other similar material as illustrated in the figure to prevent it from being bent at an acute angle.
